When Leng Yichen returned home, the dishes were just being placed on the table.
"Daddy!" Xiao Lang enthusiastically threw himself at Leng Yichen’s leg. The man picked up the child and walked in from the entrance, the aroma of food wafting from the dining room, making Leng Yichen feel incomparably happy.
While holding Xiao Lang, he walked to the dining room, where Bai Yiran and Sister Liu were busy in the kitchen, and Xiao Xi was sitting in a baby chair by the dining table, playing with a little duck in her hand.
Seeing Leng Yichen return, Xiao Xi dropped the little duck and called out "ba!"
Xiao Xi’s voice was soft, but you could tell she was calling for her dad.
Leng Yichen walked over, holding Xiao Lang with one arm, and used the other hand to pick Xiao Xi up from the baby chair.
"Kiss Daddy!"

Xiao Xi couldn’t quite understand what the adults were saying yet, but she very much loved the embrace and shoulder of her dad. She laid her soft body against Leng Yichen, letting him carry her around the house, her bright black eyes darting back and forth, occasionally letting out giggles.
Bai Yiran walked out holding the freshly cooked fish and went to take her daughter, "Come here, Xiao Xi, let mommy hold you and let daddy go change clothes."
As soon as Bai Yiran’s hand touched Xiao Xi, she giggled and squirmed around, unwilling to leave Leng Yichen’s embrace.
Seeing his daughter cling to him like this, Leng Yichen’s heart melted, "Never mind, I’ll change later."
So Leng Yichen directly sat at the dining table holding Xiao Xi, and the family began to have dinner. The fish made by Bai Yiran was something Leng Yichen never got tired of eating.
He picked up a piece of fish and put it in his mouth, and Xiao Xi, in his arms, blinked her eyes and watched him eat, babbling something incomprehensible.
Finding this amusing, Leng Yichen teased Xiao Xi for a bit, then looked up and said to Bai Yiran, "I received a call today from your brother Bai Qiantong."

"He said that Bai Hongguang somehow heard about our wedding next month and asked if he could attend. He wants to walk you down the aisle."
Leng Yichen deliberately controlled his tone when speaking, as he was somewhat worried about Bai Yiran’s reaction to this news.
As expected, after hearing what Leng Yichen said, Bai Yiran put down her chopsticks, "On what grounds does he get to walk me down the aisle? The only one who deserves that is my uncle!"
Seeing Bai Yiran getting a bit emotional, Leng Yichen quickly reassured her, "Alright, alright, I’ll tell Bai Qiantong tomorrow not to let him attend."
Bai Yiran took a deep breath, picked up her bowl, and continued eating, but the matter affected her mood, causing her to put down her chopsticks and return to the bedroom after only a few bites.
Leng Yichen felt a bit regretful for having told her about this. He should have just refused Bai Qiantong’s request the moment he called.
However, the reason Leng Yichen told Bai Yiran was because he wanted her to make her own decision. After all, Bai Hongguang is her father, and he didn’t want Bai Yiran’s wedding to have any regrets.
Sister Liu could see that Bai Yiran was in a bad mood, so regardless of Xiao Xi’s willingness, she took her from Leng Yichen’s arms, "Sir, go inside and check on Yiran."
