Chapter 1943 - 1934: Heavenly Pillar Peak

"Junior Mo Wangchen, pays respects to the three seniors."

Mo Wangchen cupped his hands and welcomed the three elders into the courtyard.

The white-haired elder leading them appeared somewhat emotional. He sized up Mo Wangchen for a long moment before speaking, "Good, good, good. Since you are a disciple of the Little Ancestor, we must address you as Martial Uncle in terms of seniority."

"Uh..."

Mo Wangchen was momentarily stunned by the words.

Martial Uncle?

This seniority disparity is a bit absurd, isn’t it?

Judging from the strength of the three before him, they surely held significant statuses within the Ye Family.

Yet, such individuals still had to call him Martial Uncle?

Clearly, this showed how high the Master’s current seniority was within the Ye Family.

"This old man is Ye Lu, pays respects to Martial Uncle."

After speaking, the white-haired elder knelt down on one knee before Mo Wangchen, his face full of sincerity, showing no signs of deceit.

Mo Wangchen quickly helped them up and guided them to sit down in the courtyard.

After a round of conversation, Mo Wangchen came to know that the Ye Family is now divided into two factions.

One faction is led by the current Family Head, which is also the strongest.

The other faction, led by Ye Lu, is loyal to the Master, and they have always believed that the Master is the foremost person in today’s Ye Family.

As such, for many years, the relationship between the two factions has been unfriendly, often resulting in conflicts.

But after all, they are all blood of the Ye Family, the blood flowing in their veins comes from the same ancestor, so even though conflicts happen often, they never escalate too severely.

"Has the Master ever mentioned me to you?"

During the conversation, Mo Wangchen was surprised to learn about this.

Ye Lu laughed and said, "Besides Martial Uncle Mo, the Little Ancestor mentioned a few other Martial Uncles to us as well, but that was many years ago..."

Mo Wangchen nodded, knowing that the Master had many avatars scattered across different worlds before.

It seems that many years ago, one of the Master’s avatars returned to the Heavenly Domain Ye Family and discussed the situation of a few of his fellow disciples with Ye Lu and others.

"The Little Ancestor once said that you disciples are his pride. Though not his offspring, you surpass his own children. Martial Uncle, now that you have come to the Ye Family, treat this place as your home. Should you need anything, feel free to speak. This old man, Ye Lu, will certainly do my utmost to assist," he said sincerely.

"That’s too much. Although I am a disciple of the Master, I do not have the Ye Family’s bloodline. In the Ye Family, at most I can only be considered an outsider." Mo Wangchen was aware of this.

Moreover, he never intended to exploit the Master’s connection to gain anything from Ye Lu and others.

The group continued their discussion in the courtyard, and only late at night did Ye Lu and the other two reluctantly leave.

For them, understanding the Master’s current situation from Mo Wangchen was the most valuable information to Ye Lu’s faction.

Knowing that the Master is well in the Lower Realm satisfied them greatly.

Over the next few days, Mo Wangchen remained at the Ye Family.

Apart from Ye Lu and the other two, occasionally other clansmen would come by to exchange pleasantries, showing that they too aligned with the Master’s faction.

Until the sixth day.

Ye Tiange informed Mo Wangchen that the Ye Family had already gathered their forces, preparing to head to Cang Province as the opening of the Ancient Battlefield was imminent.

On the seventh day, after Mo Wangchen prepared everything, he arrived at the Ye Family square.

Looking over, there were over a hundred figures gathered there, all members of the Ye Family.

Not only Ye Tiange’s faction, but many old masters and young talents from Ye Lu’s faction were also present.

Clearly, for this opening of the Ancient Battlefield, members from both factions of the Ye Family would participate.

"Martial Uncle!"

However, when Mo Wangchen arrived at the square, a young man from Ye Lu’s faction stepped forward and respectfully bowed to him.

The young man was named Ye Tianchu, from the same generation as Ye Tiange. However, unlike him, he was a clansman of Ye Lu’s faction and one of the most outstanding young talents of his generation.

A few days ago, Ye Tianchu had come to see Mo Wangchen twice.

In terms of seniority, he should be calling Mo Wangchen Martial Ancestor, but this title made Mo Wangchen somewhat uncomfortable. After much discussion, Ye Tianchu was eventually persuaded to address him as Martial Uncle, like Ye Lu.

What Mo Wangchen had to admire was the absolute loyalty of Ye Lu’s faction to the Master.

For a master like Ye Lu, or a genius like Ye Tianchu, regardless of power or status, they were beyond his current reach.

Yet, just because he was the Master’s disciple, these two sincerely respected him.

Soon, the crowd gathered, and the members of both factions stepped onto a hastily constructed Array Platform.

As the Array Platform activated, under the watchful gaze of countless Ye Family clansmen, Mo Wangchen and the hundred others disappeared into the void.

They traversed the barriers of time and space swiftly, heading towards Cang Province!

It is said that among the nine provinces of the Heavenly Domain, Cang Province ranks foremost in terms of area.

From ancient times to the present, it has always been a frozen land, with desolate lands occupying eight or nine-tenths of the entire continent; less than two-tenths is habitable.

Cang Province is rich in monster beasts remnants from ancient times, and they can be found everywhere. This frozen land is famous for its peril.

It is rumored, according to incomplete statistics, that there are no fewer than a dozen ancient restricted zones, Monster Beast Mountain Ranges, and other dangerous areas across Cang Province, regardless of their size.

Traveling through the transmission passage for who knows how long.

Finally, Mo Wangchen and his party descended above a vast, untamed mountain range.

Looking down, ancient trees grew in profusion, weeds were enough to drown a person, and you could faintly hear the roars of beasts lurking in the mountains.

Directly ahead, amidst the mountains, there stood an exceptionally high ancient peak, like a divine pillar standing between Heaven and Earth.

All around, many figures could be seen moving, whether some solitary Loose Cultivators or people from large factions, all converging towards the direction of that ancient peak.

"We’ve arrived."

"This is the renowned ’Heavenly Pillar Peak’ of Cang Province!"

Rumors had it that the entrance to the Ancient Battlefield was atop the Heavenly Pillar Peak.

At this moment, countless cultivators had already gathered, all surrounding the Heavenly Pillar Peak.

The peak was teeming with people, not less than ten thousand by any measure.

"What a lively spectacle indeed."

"The Ancient Battlefield, which opens only once every century, is rumored to contain countless opportunities. Who knows, this time, who will gain the most."

As the group arrived at the Heavenly Pillar Peak, Mo Wangchen’s ears were filled with such chatter.
