Chapter 93 Order
Chapter 93 Order
The courtyard of the Ubuyashiki mansion, the headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps, was so quiet that only the sound of the wind could be heard.
Kagaya Ubuyashiki sat under the eaves, half of his face dark and rotten from the spread of toxins, yet he could not hide the gentle compassion in his eyes.
He held a ruffled, panting raven in his arms, gently stroking its drooping feathers with his fingertips, his voice tender.
"Thank you for your hard work in sending the message back."
The raven weakly rubbed against his palm and let out a hoarse cry.
Kagaya Ubuyashiki's gaze swept over the petals falling in the courtyard, his tone becoming heavier, yet still calm.
"So, it seems all my outstanding children have perished in battle, is that right?"
No one answered; only the soft rustling of the wind through the grass and trees could be heard.
He sighed softly, a resolute look in his eyes.
"It seems there are beings like the Twelve Demon Moons in Mount Natagumo. It looks like we have no choice but to send a Pillar!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he looked up and saw two figures already kneeling behind him.
"Courage and righteousness."
Yoshiyuki Tomioka sat quietly to the side. Hearing his lord's call, he slowly raised his eyes. His indigo eyes were calm and unwavering. His gaze fell on Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and his expression was very respectful.
"Tolerate."
Shinobu Kocho always wore a gentle smile, her butterfly-wing hair ornament swaying slightly. She nodded slightly upon hearing this, awaiting her lord's instructions.
"Please help me!"
Kagaya Ubuyashiki's voice carried the weight of entrustment, gentle yet firm.
Two voices rang out simultaneously, one cold and one gentle, yet both equally resounding.
"Yes, sir!"
On the way to Mount Tagumo, the sunlight dappled through the forest. Shinobu Kocho quickly caught up with Giyu Tomioka, then suddenly turned to look at him, her smile still gentle.
"I really hope we can get along well with demons, so that no one will die at their hands, right, Mr. Tomioka?"
Giyu Tomioka kept his eyes fixed ahead, his steps unwavering. He didn't look at Shinobu Kocho, his voice calm and composed, yet filled with certainty.
"Ghosts can't change their habit of eating people; such a thing is simply impossible!"
Butterfly Shinobu walked lightly alongside him, her smile deepening.
"Mr. Tomioka is absolutely amazing!"
Giyu Tomioka remained silent, but his pace quickened, and he seemed to be surrounded by a chilling aura that kept strangers at bay.
Shinobu Kocho feigned surprise with a soft "Eh," then her smile widened as she initiated a conversation.
"Oh! Mr. Tomioka is so cold. Let's try to get along this time!"
"I'm just here to kill demons!"
Giyu Tomioka finally spoke, his words brief and to the point, devoid of any superfluous emotion, his steps never faltering.
Shinobu Kocho looked troubled and shook her head helplessly.
"Mr. Tomioka is really difficult to get along with! We're almost at Mount Natagumo, and judging from his appearance, it seems unlikely we can continue together. Perhaps we should part ways here!"
Giyu Tomioka looked up at the Spider Mountain, shrouded in mist and exuding a chilling aura, as the mountain wind carried the smell of blood and malevolence.
He didn't respond, but instead strode straight toward the side of the mountain path, his actions already making his stance clear.
Seeing this, Shinobu smiled helplessly, but a hint of relief appeared in her eyes.
"Well... take care, Mr. Tomioka!"
As soon as she finished speaking, she turned around and sped off towards the other side of Spider Mountain, her pink haori drawing a light arc through the forest.
Giyu Tomioka's gaze finally fell in the direction Shinobu Kocho had left, his indigo eyes remaining calm and unwavering, revealing no emotion whatsoever.
He paused for a few seconds, then quickly looked away. His aura solidified, and he shot off like an arrow into the depths of the forest. His colorful feathers fluttered in the wind, and he disappeared into the dense woods in an instant.
On the other side, in the Spider Mountain forest, it had already become a battlefield where blood and flesh flew everywhere.
Wearing a boar's head mask and wielding two Nichirin Blades, Inosuke, covered in blood, was locked in a fierce battle with the spider demon before him.
His breathing was rapid and heavy, and his body had several wounds of varying depths, with blood soaking through his clothes.
Yet it still roared and charged forward, its eyes beneath the boar's head mask filled with anxiety.
"Damn it! Tanjiro couldn't be dead, could he?! And Nezuko's nowhere to be found either!"
He was violently knocked back by the spider demon's thick arm, staggering back several steps, his chest heaving violently, his hand numb, and his arm aching from wielding the knife for so long.
The spider demon before them had skin as hard as a rock, and its two arms moved with a powerful gust of wind.
Each strike was ruthless and cunning, each move deadly. The surrounding trees had already been cut in half, and rubble and broken branches were scattered all over the ground.
The spider demon roared, its voice hoarse and piercing, as it swung both arms at the same time, sweeping towards Inosuke.
Inosuke's eyes flashed with a fierce light. Instead of retreating, he advanced, his feet moving nimbly. He avoided the fatal attack with his beast-like instincts, thrusting out both Nichirin Blades at the same time.
"Beast Breathing - Fifth Fang - Berserk Slash!"
Two sharp blades, like the claws of a wild beast, precisely slashed at the spider demon's arm, instantly producing a piercing metallic clang and sending sparks flying.
The spider demon roared in pain as one of its arms was severed, gushing out black blood.
"Very good!"
Inosuke was overjoyed, his eyes flashing with ecstasy. He seized the opportunity presented by the Spider Demon's injury, leaped into the air, raised his Nichirin Blades high above his head, poured all his strength into the blades, and roared.
"Die! Beast Breathing - Third Fang - Fang Tear!"
He vowed to cut off the spider demon's head with a single stroke and end the entanglement.
Just as the blade was about to touch the spider demon's neck, the spider demon's only remaining arm suddenly shot up and gripped Inosuke's body like an iron clamp!
"Hmm!"
Inosuke felt his bones cracking, and excruciating pain swept through his body. His breath stopped instantly, and the Nichirin Blade in his hand fell to the ground with a thud.
The spider demon's palm grip tightened, as if it wanted to crush his body, and the boar's head mask was squeezed out of shape.
He could clearly feel his life force rapidly slipping away, and the shadow of death instantly enveloped him.
"Damn it... let me go!"
Inosuke struggled desperately, but he couldn't budge the spider demon at all. He could only let the spider demon's strength tighten and his consciousness gradually fade.
Tanjiro, I...I might...die!
At this critical moment, a cold figure appeared like a ghost, his calm eyes undisturbed, and his Nichirin Blade flashed with cold light, so fast that only a blur remained.
"Water Breathing - First Form: Water Surface Slash!"
The sharp blade flashed across the calm water, precise and swift. The spider demon's arm, which was gripping Inosuke, was severed in an instant, and black blood gushed out.
Inosuke fell heavily to the ground, panting heavily. The dizziness of surviving the ordeal came over him. When he looked up, he saw Giyu Tomioka standing steadily in front of him.
Inosuke looked at the unusually colored haori and the Nichirin Blade in Giyu Tomioka's hand, which stood between him and the Spider Demon.
Who are you?
Inosuke asked in a hoarse voice.
"It's amazing you've held on this long. Don't worry, you won't die!"
